    Any one here on this?
I'm trying a few lately so i'm now testing this one out and I must say I am very impressed!

It comes with cwm 4.0.1.4 which is good but now i'm used to cwm5 bundled with siyah I have to say I miss this version.

However, the kernel itself I am very impressed with. Home screens and app drawer are very smooth indeed on both tw4.5 and go launcher.
Browsing also seems very quick. I'm not sure i'm imagining this improvement as this would be more down to the modem but pages are seeming to load quicker than ever.

As this also supports bln which is a biggie for me, this one is a definite keeper for me along with siyah and nimph

I'll have to monitor battery usage as this seems to have the AOS bug (currently at 14%) which siyah fixed (some say masked) which was constantly around 3% on this.

    More testing to come....

Not much response here, so I guess this is not a popular kernel.
I honestly do not know why, as it is performing exceptionally well for me.
Performance is right up there with the best of them.
Battery drain last night was 4% over 9 hours, with wifi+data on (wifi sleep policy active). No spurious suspicious wakeloks.

However, this does have the AOS problem, with it being at 24% this morning, but it didnt seem to have too much of an adverse affect on battery drain. Would be interesting to see how much drain it would have been overnight with this bug solved.

The only downside for me is that it comes with CWM 4. I say "downside" as I have now got used to CWM5 with the ability to back up to external sd. Hopefully it will be bundled with CWM5 soon....

Definitely not a trendy kernel! It's about the only one I haven't tried, but been thinking about it, so you've talked me into it! My only doubt was that it doesn't seem to have been updated recently, but if it works so well suppose it doesn't matter!

I have to say, I'm very pleased with it Syd.
As for updates, they are currently working on U3 based on Samsung Update3 sources. Development was put on hold for Update2, due to the release of Update3, which probably explains the lack of activity recently.

For those of you on CheckROM, you can download it from the kitchen.
For those who are not, it can be downloaded from the ragemod v1.1b - U1 xda thread

There is also another xda thread here which is Ragemod v1-T30 which seems to have the following included:
Samsung Update 2 Applied (as per K1-T30
    CIFS working
Charging touch sensitivity fix. (but I think 1.1b has this also)

Shame they are all in .tar format, as I always prefer a CWM flash over Odin.

Presumably chain fires mobile odin will do the job! Haven't had the opportunity to try that either - 2 firsts for the price of one......

    Kitchen holds Ragemod v1.1b - U1

I am now trying out Ragemod v1-T30. I ended up creating a flashable .zip file for it and installed it via CWM.

Seems just as good so far. Obviously cannot comment about battery yet.
Comes with CWM4.0.1.4 as per v1.1b

Is this a newer Ragemod? I was using it a couple of months ago and it gave me my best ever battery life but I've chopped and changed since then.

    Thats good to know Syd.
But I've also worked out how to create a flashable .zip file from the .tar

I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!

If a kernel works for Sydney99 it won't work for me!

Why didn't I listen to that little voice inside my head?

    OK... I downloaded Ragemont v1-T30.

I wiped phone using the Ultimate Kernel Script.

Loaded Odin up with the .tar file.

Put phone into Download mode and connected via USB.

Flashed the kernel successfully... see attached screenie.

The phone booted up past the yellow triangle and into my Nexus Prime boot animation and then, after about 20-30 seconds, reverted back to the yellow triangle again and again and again!

Disconnected phone and repeated the above steps with the same result!

Luckily... please take note Showmestuff-S2, I had the Siyah 2.2rc1 kernel on my SD Card, along with half a dozen other beta's, and flashed that and restored my phone.

    I am either...

    1. Having a Mr Thickie plonker day

    or

    2. I'm a victim of the Sydney99 kernel curse.

Will have another look at it later on.

Any suggestions are welcome on a postcard please.

A few alternatives for you to try butty:

    1. Download v1.1b from the Kitchen. This is already in .zip format and can be flashed via CWM Recovery.

    If you want v1-T-30 then:
    2. Convert the .tar to a .zip flash it as a zip in CWM recovery, as I described here
    3. Use Mobile Odin to flash the .tar.
    4. Use CWM Manager to flash the kernel

    Ps. What's Ragemont?
    :D

OK, feeling slightly less dozey than yesterday, I tackled the installation of the RageMod kernel. I even manually un-installed my Nexus Prime boot animation in case that was an issue.

    Results are:-

    1. Froze and stayed on boot animation screen. Lefty it for 5-10 min's.

    2. 3. 4. Same as my earlier post. Boot into animation and then loop back to the yellow triangle, over and over.

I fear that the only answer will to be a full wipe and installation of CheckROM 3.1.1 and to flash the kernel again.

    very strange then butty.
can you flash nimph2.0.5 or 2.1.3 onto yours ok?
reason I ask, is your on CWM5, and nimph is CWM4, as is RAGEmod.
clutching at straws a little, but worth a go.

If nimph loads ok, then give this one a try

how did you uninstall your nexus boot animation? I found this to be a bit of a swine, as all other installs were ignored. I had to manually delete /system/media/bootanimation.zip and /data/local/bootanimation.zip in the end.
