    Hello All

I am experiencing some issues and would be grateful if some of you can share if you have seen this as well and if you have been able to fix this.

    I have a Note 2 which I got in March 2013.

But the issue I see that the RAM utilization shoots up to 1.25-1.4GB/1.75GB quite frequently and becomes a laggy. I clear the Memory and this brings down to around 600-700MB and it feels a bit better but after only a couple of hours, it shoots back up again!

I am using only 5.18/10.22GB storage.

It would be extremely helpful to get some feedback on this and how I could fix this.

If you want to know any more information on this please let me know.

    Many Thanks in advance.

Unused ram is wasted ram. If you want to know what's making your phone lag, keep an eye on your battery stats. Often lag is caused by something keeping your phone busy so it should use more battery.

You didn't give any useful info about your phone. If you're rooted and on a rom < 4.3, you should run lagfix.

    Thanks colchiro

    My phone details are

    Model Number GT-N7105
    Android Version 4.1.2
    Baseband Version N7105BVDMF2

I did not root the device; just had an upgrade 3-4 months back pushed through the provider.

Also my battery usage says Screen using 27%, Android System using 17%, Android OS using 15%, these three are the highest users - are such stats normal? I have kept the screen with minimum brightness should it show such high utilization in such instances?

There is no normal, unless you never use your phone, then it might be easy to compare. Obviously screen at 27% means you're using your phone. Android System/OS could be anything. Since you're not rooted, there's a bunch of apps that you can't use to diagnose this.

Greenify requires root but would be excellent.
Better Battery Stats -- Might be able to use.

My pleasure, I'd like to hear how you get on.

PS It just occurred to me that you can check what is using your memory by going to Settings > Application Manager > Running.

Perhaps you can spot the difference in RAM utilization there; a few screen shots may help with that.
