So this week I am planning on getting the HTC Droid Eris and was wondering if this phone allows you to save pictures/ videos and audio files (like ringtones) to the SD card directly from a text message? How about from Gmail?

    Thanks alot!

Yes it does. Well I can't confirm all but I can confirm MMS Pictures, videos should be handled the same as pictures, but audio I don't know. In gmail you can save all attachments (at least all the different ones i have received) and I have received alot of attachments.

The only reason I ask about the audio is so that I would be able to save the audio files and use them as a ringtone.
