Support Random Movement

    Hey all, I been having problems with my eris. It seems to be moving from screen to screen on its own randomly and when I am typing the curser seems to move to the left on its own randomly also. Any ideas

    Unfortunately, this is a rather common problem with the trackball. Sorry to say that there is not much that you can do. Some people have luck by trying to clean the trackball by rolling it on a blank sheet of printer paper (put the paper on the table and roll the trackball around on it). Some people only have this problem when the phone is plugged in - the trackball mechanical sensor is mounted just above the trackball, and the theory is that the USB connector has somehow been rocked up and down a bit to the point where it has affected the trackball sensor.

    Also, some people have transplanted a Blackberry trackball with good results. Not something that I would try, but, if you're interested, here are pseudo-instructions:
