    Hey,

I have a sony xperia Z2 and it started having weird pop up and full screen ADS. Most of them are advertising Badoo and Walking Dead game. I recently download Badoo and almost deleted it straight afterwards. Could it be that?

I've checked other threads regarding this, but none of them worked. I've tried to delete cache, which I thought would work the most, but it didn't. I haven't tried factory reset still, but I doubt it will be the only option.

E: Just got a one The Walking Dead game pop up on full screen with sound, please kill me. So frustrating.

It's most likely an app you downloaded. What app did you last download before this started? That could be the culprit,so uninstall it after you clear cache and data and see if that helps.

It was badoo, uninstalled it almost the next second I downloaded it. Ads still there. They don't like pop into notification bar, but outside of it. Not any symbols coming to bar or so.

Nothing out of the ordinary to me. No addons on push notifications, I'm not exactly sure what should I try to look for there. Could you enlighten me?

I scanned, it didn't mention any threats atleist.

Any app that updated recently? Or any launcher you are using?

Try clearing the cache and data of any installed browsers. You'll lose bookmarks etc, but I've seen this clear pop up ads etc in the past.

You don't have any Cheetah Mobile or CM apps installed do you? Clean Master, App Lock, CM Security etc?

Oh. it was Hiddak.AK Trojan on my android phone… that was causing full screen ad on home screen, whenever WiFi or Data connection was opened or whenever an new app was installed or uninstalled and installing new apps randomly without asking..

ESET Mobile Security & Antivirus was able to detect it by using Deep Scanning option..

It was hidden under the Service “ Android Communication Sync” .. watch out for this process in your phone

The phone got malware, definitely. You can try Dr.Web light and scan all device. It helped me to clean annoying ads.
