Root Random reboots only when rooted...

I was looking to see if anyone else is having this issue I am having. I have had two different Incredibles. I have rooted each one multiple times and gone back to completely stock with the RUU file multiple times. I have noticed that when I am running completely stick with stock recovery neither phone will randomly reboot. As soon as I root with Unrevoked I start getting random reboots with the stock ROM. I do alwaysinstall the same apps after I root so I don't know if it's one of the apps.

The only apps I install after root are:

ROM Manager
ShootMe
Wireless Tether


That's it. I noticed my phone generally runs a little slower also after rooting. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Honestly my incredible runs smoother and benchmarks faster than stock. It did when I had the LG ally rooted with velocity 1.0; now that I'm running cyanogen 7rc I've never had a more amazing phone. When overclocking I sometimes get a reboot but each phone handles overclock differently.
