Anyone else have their phone doing random reboots? I've had two in the last two days, both while the phone is out, not touching anything, on my desk...

I had my phone do it once a few weeks back. I've no idea what caused it.

Mine also does this, happened about 10 times since I've had it (Jan 12). There doesn't seem to be anything in particular that causes it to do so either

Mine turned itself off once about a week ago but hasn't done so since. I had to physically turn it back on so now sure if that counts as the same problem.

Are you sure you haven't got a 90's Nokia? No, OK...

I have not seen this at all.

Every phone I've ever had has done this though...

I have only had this happen once... but it wasn't exactly the same thing. I had the phone plugged in ... sitting on the table next to my couch...

Next time I looked at the phone I was at the bootloader screen (The screen you get when you power up while holding the trackball). I pulled the battery and it hasn't happened again. Very weird.

I'd imagine something is crashing the phone. Probably a dodgy application.

Mine did it again tonight when listening to Pandora. Pandora seems kinda buggy on my phone at the moment so think I'll uninstall it for a while and see if that makes any difference at all.

This has happened to me also. It typically happens after a phone call. Sometimes the screen will freeze after a call and then reboot after a min. Other times the call will end, but the green call icon will stay in the top left. I can't select the activity because the top drawer won't pull down and then the phone will reboot.

It seems like making calls is the weakest point of the phone.

This has happened to me twice recently and it appears totally random. I got this phone the day after it was released and never had this issue prior to the OTA update. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, I'm just sayin....
I did my update manually btw but I doubt that has anything to do with it.

I let mine come over the air. So I don't think that's the root cause of the issue.
I also haven't hacked my phone so that shouldn't have anything to do with it.

Yeah mine has done this twice in the last couple of days. I wouldnt be surprised since its Linux, that its a memory leak for some kind of watchdog time out. If it is a memory leak, does that mean that task killers are actually necessary???

Contrary to my earlier post. I have seen this a few times now.

Mind you, every phone I've ever owned has rebooted randomly (or switched off - Nokia).

I have put this down to a rogue app or app conflict but I can't be bothered to remove them one by one to find out as the reboot doesn't happen often (weekly?).

Mine did this for the first time just yesterday. I think it has something to to with the fact I installed the app Fast Reboot.
Anyone else with this prob have that app?

I think my phone has mis-behaved since installing Startup Auditor.

Never happens to me, and I run a custom ROM with an overclocked kernel and all. Have you checked the temperature? The phone might shut itself down or restart if overheating.

I have amazing uptime on mine. The last reboot I did was because I needed to pull the battery to get to my SD Card. :p

Well then lucky you.. what's your secret? I had to reboot yesterday to get my APNs to work again and then today I had another random reboot when I was trying to answer a call.
The phone rings twice, I check who's calling and try to slide the unlock bar.. Once, twice, three times to no avail when suddenly, without even powering down I see the startup logo appear on my screen..

It just snapped from the incoming call screen to the bootloader in a second after freezing for like 2 seconds.
I have no clue what could have caused this =/
