While i was in the USAF I never had to go "up" a rope.
And yes, there were stairs involved. Lots of stairs.
Recently I watched the movie "U-555: The Mystery Submarine" documentary about the discovery of a sunken sub in the Mediterranean near Genoa. Most have heard of the terrors wrought by the German U-boats and their dreaded 'wolfpacks' in attacking allied civilian ships without mercy. In the face of that, these are two stats that caught me by surprise (tossed up just before the credits).
Nearer the end of WWII, German Admiral Donitz sent 62 U-boats into the Mediterranean. Not a single one returned.
German U-boats proved to be the greatest killer of German soldiers; of 40,000 German submariners, 30,000 died at sea.
I'd appreciate happy, positive thoughts this morning as I am interviewed for a promotion at work (it's against a bunch of outside candidates). Thanks in advance...
Good luck!!! (and drop a bunch of nails in the visitor parking lot)

I am positive you will do well.
Good luck. You will ace it.
@rootabaga, If you need my "Uncle Joe" from Philly to come out there and have a "talk" with HR ... He's got some friends who will "entertain" the other candidates. *cough* *wink-wink*
Of course you can always dazzle them with your brilliance, but that's the hard way.

BARF is a great name for a cake shop.
We need a band like this for this decade.
Boston no longer makes shoes.
I used to live a block away from a factory.
Boston no longer makes records, either. That's probably a good thing.
I loved vinyl. Oh wait "Boston" Boston?
There should be a retirement age.
