Help Re-enable reminder notifications?

Up until a few months ago the default reminders (swipe left to right on google now and hit reminders) would notify me with both an alert and a vibration when the reminder goes off at the set time. Now it does neither and I have to enter the reminders menu to see that it's even there, which defeats the purpose of a reminder. How can I re-enable the notifications?

Have you gone into Settings > Apps > Google App > Notifications to make sure that you haven't inadvertently blocked notifications from the Google app?

Yup, that did it! Thanks. I must have accidentally disabled all notifications from the app when getting rid of certain ones.
