    How to flash any ROM on the Fuison 2

    First here are some helpful IMPORTANT tips:

    1. You need to be Rooted. Guide HERE.

    2. You need to have CWM. Guide HERE.

    3. You should make a backup of your current ROM. Guide HERE.

    4. You MUST backup your 3G. VERY IMPORTANT.. GuideHERE.

    Once those steps are finished, here is the guide to install the ROM you've decided to try:

    1. Place all required files on your SD Card.
    -"ROM".zip, Gapps.zip, and baseband.zip (if it's required).
    --Do not extract the "ROM".zip place the zip file on your phone. (Some .zip files contain the ROM and the Gapps, you will need to extract these to recover the "ROM".zip and the Gapps.zip, open the .zip to make sure you see folders inside (data, system, boot, META, etc), not more .zip files)

    2. Reboot your phone into "Recovery Mode".
    -Power down the device, then hold Power and Volume Up until you reach the Recovery Menu; once there, use the Volume buttons to navigate, and the power button to select.

    3. Select "mounts and storage". -Select yes.

    4. Select "format /cache". -Select yes.

    5. Select "format /data". -Select yes.

    6. Select "format /system". -Select yes.

    7. Select "format /datadata". -Select yes.

    ***WARNING; DO NOT FORMAT /SD Card***

    8. Select "format /cust". -Select yes.

    9. Select "+++++Go Back+++++".

    10. Select "wipe cache partition". -Select yes.

    11. Select "advanced".

    12. Select "wipe dalvik cache". -Select yes.

    13. Select "+++++Go Back+++++".

    14. Select "wipe data/factory reset". -Select yes.

    ***If you are on the wrong baseband continue;
    if you're on the correct baseband skip to step 17***

    15. Select "install zip from sdcard".

    16. Select "choose zip from sdcard".
    ---Navigate to the Baseband.zip and press power to select it.

    17. Select "install zip from sdcard".

    18. Select "choose zip from sdcard".
    ---Navigate to the "ROM".zip and press power to select it.

    **If you need to install Gapps**

    19. Select "install zip from sdcard".

    20. Select "choose zip from sdcard".
    ---Navigate to the Gapps.zip and press power to select it.

    21. Select "+++++Go Back+++++".

    22. Select "reboot system now".

    This can take anywhere from 2 - 10 minutes, please be patient.

    Once the phone boots, it is recommended you wait about 5 minutes to let everything load properly.

    Hi. Greetings! from Puerto Rico. Successfully rooted my huawei, installed cwm recovery, made a backup of both my 3g and rom, installed slimbean 4.2 from this post

    http://androidforums.com/fusion-2-a...-all-fusion-2-roms-basebands.html#post6069339

    and is running fine but I have some questions:
    1) I don't have data on my phone so i don't now if works but when I dial *#06# it display mi imei and when I put my phone to search networks it gets At&t 3g and At&t 2g and others so if i get that, that means that i have 3g or it will display no matter if my 3g is broken.
    2) The backup I made of my rom with cwm have a folders with 13 items and is not like the roms in a zip, if I want to restore my phone i need to zip those files or cwm will get them 1 by 1 or I made a mistake.

    Aside from that thanks for that clear like water tutorial/guide because i don't now nothing about android and this was so easy I wanted to use smartglass(xbox) on my phone lol and btw i don't speak English and i hope you understand what I am writing because I am not using Google Translate because I know it will mess all. Thanks Again

    Greetings to you too!

    You say you don't speak English, but that post was very well written; far better than I have seen from some of my College course-mates on our discussion forums.

    Thank you for the complement on the guide, I tried my best to make it as easy as possible, because I was very new to Android when I first rooted this phone, and I followed a well written guide myself (The very same root guide you used by Shagerty).

    To answer your questions, if you are seeing a 3G data icon, that indicates that your 3G is indeed working. If you ever have to switch basebands again, you will need to restore that 3G file again, so keep it safe. ;)

    The backup and the ROM.zip's are in different formats and have to be applied in different ways, that is why they look different.

    You obviously know how to flash the ROM; but to restore a backup you have to do it a little differently. The backup file must be in a specific file on your SD card: /clockworkmod/backup/your_backup_file (Your backup file is replaced of course by whatever the name of your backup is). It will not work if it is zipped, it has to be in the format it is currently in, and the name must contain no spaces.

    If you ever need a refresher on how to restore a backup, I have a guide on that too; the backup file I made isn't working for some, but the instructions are on that post. (Remember, you will need to restore the Gingerbread Baseband as well, if you do not, your phone wont make calls until you do)

    If you ever have any questions, you can send me a private message, and I will do my best to help you out.

    Thank you again for the kind words, I am glad it was easy to follow.(I probably edited it a few dozen times :D )

    Hope you have a great day!
