you would have to run the stock RUU to get the update over the air or how ever they will put it out ............BUT if you are willing to wait a few hours after the release they will be a 2.1 fresh rom made and put out for everyone

you might have to revert to stock before you upgrade. Otherwise, I'm sure there'll be plenty of 2.1 ROMs out within a day or two after 2.1 comes out.

I'll probably go back to stock ROM when 2.1 comes out ..

and when Fresh ROM comes out with a new rom for the 2.1 ...It's most likely I will be switching to a Fresh ROM again..

they might just have the root access patched with the udpate so you would loose root access if done that way ;)

True....we'll see though...I'll wait a few days for new roms to pop up and I'm going to read on the new update as well to see how it's running ...

yeah, I think it's probably going to be a good idea to wait a couple of days to update when it does come out, that way if there's any issues, hopefully they'll be fixed by a ROM right away.

Yeah I personally don't foresee any permanent block on the ability to root. Someone will always find a way.

I will go back to stock at least at first. That's the exciting part, something new to play with. Then as the Roms mature over a few days I will get back to rooting and flashing. Who knows, I think my plans will fall subject to emotions when the update ACTUALLY gets released.

that's a good question. But I think when you do the RUU it's going to reset all the special permissions, I think even if your apps are on your SD they will be useless.

There is a thread on XDA about reversing apps2sd, I might check that first, but it might be a waste if the RUU is going to erase your data.

Anyway, I'm obviously not real sure so wait for a bit more advice.
