I've been using a widget called Reboot Control Widget ever since I rooted. It doesn't allow for a schedule, but it gives you more options, including reboot into recovery. I use it all the time.

Here's a pic of the options screen when you tap the widget:

Confirmations are for wimps. Real men know what they're clicking on the first time.

Refresh Basic for Android - only $1 - Schedule Auto-Reboot!

*Important: RFRSH is designed for Android v2.2 and up. Requires a "rooted" device with the Superuser System application.

RFRSH - Auto Reboot on a schedule (get the full version to launch up to 3 apps on reboot -- Wake up to Pandora. Run skype or fring, etc.)
