So this morning I decided to use the Backup Assistant for the first time & set it up through my Verizon, got the pin & proceeded to BU my contacts. When I went back to the contacts on my phone there where other names, numbers & email addresses mixed in with my contacts (at least 10 or more). I just started deleting them not thinking much about it, but now I'm a little concerned. I ran the Backup again and it worked fine. Any one experience this or have any ideas? I searched and can't find any info on this glitch.

You should start crank calling them just for fun, hehe. Kidding of course. This is the first i've heard of this issue. I'd just delete them all and start over again as you did.
Call *611 to get VZW support and let them know about it, and how disturbed and distraught you are about it and how you think a $50 credit to your bill would help to ease the suffering... That's what I would do at least...
