How to close Recent application in htc desire, as i don't want to download the advance task killer from the andorid market as it consume lots of battery

If you want to force an app to close, you can do this via the applications menu.

Go to Settings > Applications > Running Applications > and then select the app you wish to close.

Although android is designed in such a way that you shouldnt have to close recent apps. Theyre supposed to just be left.
