My S7 Edge automatically installed the software update received yesterday, overnight.

Now when wireless charging I am getting a mix of rainbow colours flashing across the screen all the time it is on the wireless charging pad instead of just the always on display Clock.

It doesn't appear to do this on cable charging.

Can anyone else confirm if this is normal as the phone now seems hotter as well when wireless charging.

Yeah that's called Daydream. It's been a feature on all Android phones since Jellybean. The update may have turned it on. Go to settings>display>screensaver. If you have other apps with Daydream function, you can change what gets displayed.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my query. You are correct, based on your instructions, I found it in settings and the update did turn it on.

Initially thought there was a problem with the screen, so thanks once again for solving it & alleviating that worry.
