Root Recommend a ROM for my wife

    After recently rooting the 3VO, i've decided to take the plunge and root the wifes Evo.

    In this sea of ROM's, can someone recommend a ROM that has the following?:

    • Sense - version doesnt matter
    • Stripped of all Sprint bloatware
    • Improved battery life
    • As much of a stock experience as possible

    I'd recommend Mikg's 3.11 or CleanROM.

    As for battery life, that'll depend more on the kernel you're running in conjunction w/ apps such as ROM Toolbox or SetCPU.

    The Stock ROM is pretty good It has the bloatware but that is fairly easy to take off. Personally I'm liking the Nitrous ROMS They are very smooth, Fast, and Reliable. No Bloatware and has tweaks to help with netspeed and other stuff. The Dev has been doing a good job of releasing updated versions as well. So its not like a ROM comes out and then no support.

    My wife and daughter are running MikG and UnderworldSBC. Both of them are in love with that configuration.

    Every time one of these threads suggesting a rom comes up consistently MikG is the most suggested because its clean and to the point and just works for 99% of people. My suggestion of Underworld SBC is simply the SBC resulting in a higher battery charge.

    I agree on MikG with an honorable mention to Tommy's Evo Classic. My phone hates the underworld kernel, so if you get classic kernel v 1.3 (I think that's the most current) then it's pretty much the stock kernel with some other tweaks and SBC.

    Thanks guys I'll give one of these a shot tonight if I have time.

    "nice little Sunday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time"
