I use Google nav but wanna try some different ones?
Geez, I think the google one is great and it's free!
Why mess with perfection?
I don't even know of any others, though, so my input is nil in this thread.
i think tomtom is coming out with an app you can use offline... but i dont know when it is coming out or any more details
or you could use the verizon navigator. I used it on my feature phone and it actually works quite well, though not as polished or feature rich as google nav. I do think the android one is different from the feature phone one so there may be some other feature.
it was 10 dollars a month on my lg dare
Amazon market had one as free app of day . I got it but didn't install it. (So it is free if I want to try it)
I only got it in case google navigation has a majoy problem pop up
The best, but not for free
I love Google Nav but for some reason it stopped working? I am on Nils' Business GingerSense 3.0 Rom ??
Even though I use Google Nav. as my preferred GPS app. I do have Copilot Live for offline maps. (Cost like $20). It works really well, not as polished as Google maps and doesn't have all of the cool features, but it works well and stores the maps on the SD card or internal storage. So, you don't need a data connection like with Google Nav.
Except you don't need a data connection with Google Maps/Nav anymore as long as you have your route downloaded.
The offline maps save, is only like a 10 mile radius. For most that isn't good enough, if you are taking a long road trip.
I'm not familiar with that ROM, but I know there was an issue with the most recent Google Maps with the Cyanogen Mod 7 based ROMS. You may need to find an older version of Google Maps and install it to get your GPS working again.
