Recorded video - some don't work

I'm not on the 2.2 update yet, but some videos I've recorded don't have a thumbnail in the gallery, nor do they play back.
I've copied them onto my computer, they have the correct file size but I think something has been corrupted when saving the videos on the phone.

Any idea if there is an app that could fix the issue ?

Hi,
I had this issue before I updated to 2.2

But a "bad" video was very seldom.
So I don't know if it will be better with 2.2

It's just happening randomly, some files record, others don't.
As I mentioned the size of the files look like they are correct but it's like the phone didn't finish writing the code to save the file properly.

Have a HTC Hero and the video looks normal on the phone but if I load it up on Youtube or my desktop it comes out looking distorted with green blocks. Audio is fine. This is just recent too. No updates or anything. Is this what you're having issues with?

Even the XDA developers have no suggestions. I feel like this is a compression/codec issue between the actual phone and perhaps the upload feature or between the phone and the external video player... although I do see some people don't get to see the video on their phones like I do so... Huh. =/
