Hi, I've always used my mobile phone to record musical ideas in progress, jam sessions etc. Though far from top-end phones, quality of those recording was just fine on Nokia Lumia 520, which I owned before. I am using Lenovo A7000 running on Lollipop at the moment and have troubles with recording. No matter what recording app I try, every single recorded track is fine for a second and then gets real shitty - feels overcompressed, kind of like you'd used some phaser or envelope effect on it. I've tried switching off all wi-fis, datas, GPSs, putting the phone out of the case, covering or uncovering the microphone. Nothing helped. Guess there must be some kind of a problem with microphone or firmware then. The curious thing is that the sound is perfectly allright if I record a video - the problem occurs just with audio recording apps. If there's a faulty mic, are they using a different microphone than the camera? Of course I could record everything on video and convert to mp3s later, but that's really slow for me and hardly a "smart" solution. Can someone help me with this, please?
