i tryed to make a nand back up of my phone in case i screw it up somehow and every time i try to do a recovery reboot my phone gets a black screen to flash the image i used the directions from this link

    http://androidforums.com/getitnowmarketing/256286-custom-recovery-ms690-optimus-m.html

I am wondering if the reason for this is because of having 2.2.1 instead of 2.2. would i need a different recovery image in order to create the nand backup?

A few of us are in the same boat. Does the recovery flashing only work if you started with 2.2 ? I got rooted, and got service back, I even used "Absolute System" (Check the Market!) to replace my bootanim and Poweron.mp3 and font. I just can't seem to get the Custom Recovery going. I get either a black screen ( like the LG boot screen but without the logo ) or nothing. I even managed to accidentally reset the phone once. AAARGH! Please help us GetItNowmarketing!
