Root Recovery Stock Recovery Image

    I flashed the custom recovery image instead of the temp way. Does anyone know how to get the orginal one back on it. Im taking it back dont want verizon pulling some stunt on me

    Use the LG update tool to flash it back to v6 and than ull get the update to stock v8

    do you have adb shell steps to flash that backup. I cant seem to get that update tool to work. Thanks

    2. fastboot flash recovery stock_recovery.img

    Would be the easiest way. Before doing so you need to revert back to a stock rom too if you ever plan on appying an ota update without disaster. Apply the rom listed here while you still have custom recovery or else use your nandroid restore from immediately after you flashed recovery then follow steps above to return to stock or else downgrade to V06 (search forums here for how to)

    I'm also interested in the stock recovery image, just so I have it around... unfortunately, the file upload service used above hasn't really done anything so far except make me close many spammy pop-under ads that play sound and other obnoxious things. Has anyone actually managed to download the file from it?

    Just did not one minute ago. Firefox did blocked a few pop ups though, so I see where you're coming from.
