How do I reduce the number of rings before it transfers to voice mail? It now rings seven times before being transferred to vociemail. I want to change it to 4 times.

    Every carrier does it differently.

Call your voicemail. Listen to the prompts. See if there's one for settings or something like that. Drill down to find one for the number of rings before VM picks up.

If there's nothing there, or you can't figure it out, call customer service. They'll know where it is, how to set it, and they'll change it for you.

Use the appropriate code for the condition(s) you want handled. For example, to set 'Ring, No Answer' to 10 seconds:
*61*[dest#]*10# (seconds must be in increments of 5)
    GSM Feature Codes

If you key in *#61# (status), it should give you the appropriate voicemail number for your carrier and the current setting.
