Now that I've connected my TF201 via HDMI to my HD television, I am wondering if any company has produced a remote control for the Asus? It would be great to browse/change films from my armchair!

Try Tablet Remote in the Google Play Market. You need an Android phone and Tablet in order for it to work and I am not sure if it has Jelly Bean support yet but it works pretty well. All you have to do is have both your devices on the same WiFi and you can control your tablet with your phone. Perfect setup for want you want to do.
