Has anyone tried Xtralogic or any other suggested remote desktop application on their Droids? Via the VPN, I would like to connect to my windows servers from my phone. How is Xtralogic if anyone has tried it?

Also, is there a command line prompt application for the Droid, so I would have the capability of pinging windows servers, (after establishing a VPN connection of course)?

The built-in VPN tool on my phone works fine. :D

I use Phonemypc it has pinch zoom and works over 3g or wifi. You do have to install software on the pc. Think it was 4.99 but well worth it. And i think it will let you send commands to the pc (i have not done this)

Thanks dude but I'm speaking more along the lines of RDP'ing into servers and by commands I mean the ability to ping a server (i.e. ping 192.168.1.x).

Haven't seen an app like that yet but would love a feature like this. Gmote is nice for controlling media on a PC but not really as avanced as what you're looking for

there is an app called Terminal that i downloaded, opened, but haven't actually used. might be worth looking into.

androidVNC works well for remote control. There is an app in the market named Ping that claims to be able to, well, ping.

Edit: ping does what it claims to.

Haha, I should have searched "ping" on the market before I came on here. I guess I was lazy. I'll check out terminal and ping.

Thanks guys!

So, I tried out "Ping", and it works fine. I'm able to connect to my VPN, and ping my mail server. Nice!!:D
