OK, complete newbie here. How do I turn off the call & number announcement speech? I went over all 3 pages & have tried everything. Also, when a new call comes in, it rings & overrides the present call. I went through everything & cannot find cures. I just want normal call waiting & no voice announcements at all.
Otherwise this is an excellent phone, so far. I really like it.

    Thank you,
    Ed

Try Settings/Device/Accessibility. It sounds like something that would be in there.

I was in there & text to speech. No options for it.
    Thank you,

Settings/Sound/ scroll down to Caller ID Readout and uncheck the box.

I believe that's how. I had that phone 2 phones ago and just loved it. Would have it again if they'd put a front camera on it so I could vid chat.

THe 4G model has both cameras. Thankyou, Liz, as the voices were annoying.

Yeah, I know. But I'd already signed a new contract with Verizon. *sigh*. I'm happy with my Maxx. But the Commando was great for working in the field. Waterproof, dust proof. Hell, I would talk to people while I was in the shower! LOL

I abused the heck out of my LG Revo & it lasted the 2 years. This should do me several.
