I need some instructions on how to remove the Eris 2.1 leak that I installed? I did it by downloading some file and copying it to my memory card, then holding down the vol button and the power button. How do I flash it back to 1.5? This leak is very buggy on my phone.

There is NO WAY that this can be accomplished. The system will not allow you to flash to an older ROM. You will just have to wait like the rest of us to get the OTA.

The update to 2.1.xx was a risk which was well documented when you did it. You were warned that there is no going back once you flash.

Hopefully we all get it soon!! ;)

You can't, get the OTA when it becomes available to you.

You can't go backwards however over the next week or so the the official 2.1 update will be out and should fix most of the problems with the leaks.

As of right now if you didn't root 2.1, you are out of luck.

Sorry to inform you, but you are stuck until a developer finds root. You could try updating to the newest leak (v3) if you haven't already. Or wait for the OTA.

So even though I have the the 2.1 leak, I will still get the OTA?

    I have to work?
I don't know if leakers will get the update. They may or may not. I think anyone on a pre v3 leak will definitely get it. I have not seen any official stance on this so I do not know. I do not think anyone does tbh.

And if I need to remind anyone why I say that, then go back and read other posts I have made as to why I can say that with authority.

Here is a pretty silly question, How do you what version of 2.1 you are running. I have done the upgrade a few days ago and my system numbers do not seem to match up with anything I have seen.

I have been lurking for a month or two since I got my phone. And this is my first post so Flame on

In response to my question about those with leaked versions, @VZWSupport replied that "all Eris owners" will get the OTA.

You may well be able to flash v1 or v2 of the leak, and then you'd get the OTA for sure.

I bet you'll get it with v3 of the leak anyway though. I wouldn't worry about it.

If you have installed any of the three (or 4) leaks on your phone you are stuck with what you have. Each of the build numbers is higher than the previous. That is what prevents Android from going back to 2.1 v1 or even 1.5. Sorry:( you will have to wait like the rest of us that jumped the gun for the OTA. It's coming so be patient, we're 2 days into what could be a 14 day process.
