Remove Sent Text Message Counter on Chomp

Hello all, I recently downloaded an app called ChompSms, I am wondering if there is a way to remove the sent message counter in the bottom right of the screen. I've went through the settings plenty of times and I can't seem to find it. Also, one of my friends said there getting duplicate messages from me, is anyone else having this problem with Chomp?

If you went through all the settings, then there probably isnt a setting for that. As for the duplicate messages, make sure the stock messaging app is turned off.

How do you "turn off" the messaging app, I disable all of the notifications for it but I'm pretty sure that doesn't turn it off

That's what I meant, turn off the notifications. However, if you notice that texts you send with Chomp are showing up in the stock app, then the stock app may still be sending them, and I'm not sure what you could do about that.

Okay, yeah the texts do show up on the standard app, I found something that said if you have advanced task killer sometimes when it kills apps while your sending a message it can send duplicates, I ignored the messaging app and it hasn't done it since. Also, I went under Menu>settings>Applications>running services and I see that the stock app is running here along with chomp, i'm kind of afraid to stop it because I'm not sure what that will do, but that could possibly turn it off. I appreciate the responses though thanks man.

First step, STOP using a task killer. They are not needed, they make your phone run SLOWER and make it use more battery. Task killers do exactly the opposite of what the OS is designed to do.

That's interesting, but if I delete the task killer won't all the programs running in the background that don't need to be drain the battery power? Wouldn't that drain more power than the task killer itself?
