Hi

I added an image to one of my contacts, so when the person calls the image shows, but I wanted to know how do I remove that image back to the standard default setting? I 've been trrying to figure it out but can't seem work it out.

Thanks

Indeed.

Are your contacts saved to the phone or synced with gmail? Try syncing them to gmail (they may duplicate on your list) If they dupe, you can tap the options button while on the contact list screen, and goto "contacts to display" options and set it to only display gmail contacts. Or you could just delete the entries on the phone instead.

Once synced with gmail, you should get the pic area on a contact to the left of where there name is on the edit contact screen.

Maybe you could take a screenshot if this doesnt solve your problem bud. (hold power & home together for 3-5 seconds-ish)

Hope this helps.

The contacts are saved to my sim, i'll try synching them with gmail and see what happens and get back to you. This is a new sim as the old one wasn't a micro sim. So far i have just been adding my contacts in manually.

Thanks for helping

Yea sims don't have the capacity to hold that much data, export via the options and import to Gmail mate

As said before all my contacts are on my other sim, I don't reallu use gmail as my primary email, so don't have any contacts on there. But for this issue I synched my contacts with my gmail, ( some entries were duplicated like you said)

Heres the screenshot after the sync. As you can see it's the "riz2" pic i'm trying to remove

Then this is the pic for when I click on the edit button
(as you can see there's no pic)

This simple task is driving me nuts..lol

Any ideas..?

Thanks

Gotcha, just delete the sim entries mate, you don't need to "use" Gmail as such but having all your contacts done through it does make life easier, and every time you sync they backup. So yea, just delete the sim contacts or, go into the display contacts options and at least hide them.

Cheers Xplosiv, i'll just add my contacts to gmail then sync to my S3. Sorry for such a newb question but is the a way of adding my contacts from my old sim to gmail, without doing each one manually..?

Thanks for all your help, much appreciated:thumb:

Yea mate, nice and easy,

On the contacts list screen
Press options (tap left of home button)
Tap "import / export"
3rd from BOTTOM on the list should be "import from Sim"

Or you could log into gmai.co.uk on a pc/laptop and sync once your finished and you'll get everything on ya phone.

Edit: your old sim being the bigger one, not the micro sim?

Erm either cut it to size so it fits the micro sim slot
Or
Log onto a pc and gmail site to manage contacts
Or
Try your big sim in an old phone and try exporting/copying sim contacts to a .vcf file on an SD Card?

Honestly, the quickest and easiest way would be to just cut the sim to size, pop it in, turn phone on, import contacts as explained above, then power off phone, remove old sim and replace with new, then power on.
