Root Rename backups

    I like having dates on the nand backups, but can I rename them without ill effects? It will still load them up with names instead of dates right? Dumb question I know.

    you should be able to. It would be odd if you could not. Try it out and see if it works.

    NAND backups can be renamed to whatever you want (as long as you don't transfer it to your computer and rename the file extension or something.) I have done this with all of my NAND backups using ASTRO file manager for organizational purposes. Go ahead its safe.

    yea thats what i did was rename them while they were on my computer then when i transferred them back to my phone it wouldn't flash. i may try to do it in astro next time.
