Sometime in the next few months MetroPCS will be converting the DFW area. I've started looking for a replacement for the Motion - that I've had since Metro added it, which is hard to do since I love this phone so much.

Today I got an email about this phone: https://www.metropcs.com/phones/details/samsung-galaxy-light/610214637628.html

Seems ok, but I've also been looking at one of the Motorola phones.

Which would be the best choice for a phone I'll likely not replace unless it breaks?

    Thanks in advance

I too came from the Motion, and am now using the Motorola Moto G on Metro. I'm loving it! I typically go from Garland to Irving, along 635. My in-laws live near Belt Line and Hillcrest in north Dallas. I have really good service in all the areas I go to (except around Freeport Parkway in Irving/Coppell area where I drop down to Edge sometimes). I don't know where you are in the DFW area, and there was a user on here from the far west Ft Worth area that had poor Metro service so went to Criket.

I consider my self sort of a Moto G evangelist. I love the phone that much. I can't let a chance go by and not suggest it to someone. :)

Officially said goodbye to my Motion today. I've had it since it released, and it's served me very well.

I've upgraded to a Nexus 6, and will stick with the network under T-Mobile now. Number already ported from Metro.
