Help Replies to email- attach old email instead of reply

This has happened the last three times I've responded to an email from my phone. I'll send a response to an email and the person I responding to gets an old email I sent to a different user from a long time ago.

For example, this morning my wife sent me an email about our dog and I typed out a quick response about the dog. Instead of my response, my wife got the last email in a conversation I had with a friend on Facebook in September 2010.

This is the third time this has happened.

Has anyone else seen this? How do I fix this? This HAS to stop. The potential for disaster is just too great.

I'm using the POP3 Andriod email app on the Samsung Galaxy S with Froyo 2.2.

I have the same problem and it is not limited to replies. Have you had any feedback that addresses the problem.
