I have a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge and had to do a factory reset. When I turned the phone back on all my texts downloaded on to the phone but then they all disappeared. Would anyone be able to tell me why? Also when I first bought the Samsung I transferred all my data from my iPhone via my Mac, would that data still be on my Mac and how do I get it onto my Samsung?
    Thank for any help given.

If you factory reset the Samsung Note, that does erase everything stored in it, and leaves it in the state that it left the factory, i.e. blank. If you got the iPhone backup on your Mac, all the texts that were in the iPhone should still be there. However Apple doesn't make it easy to extract them for a device that isn't iOS. You could try iPhone Backup Extractor, looks like that's supposed to do what you need, and it is a Mac program.
