Resetting gives you 2.2?????

I have heard that if you do a factory reset, your Droid updates to 2.2. Is this possible, anyone try this here?

Yes I read that but some people have not had anything bad happen. Just getting the update to 2.2.

There are other ways to force the 2.2 update but if you want to roll the dice...good luck

Why not just force the update and not lose your data at all. Forcing the update is the same as getting the OTA.

I've wiped my Droid numerous times, and have never had a problem. Although, when I used rsd lite, went back to 2.01 yesterday and expected for 2.1 update 1 to download to my Droid, it never happened. I had to flash 2.1 onto my phone using rsd. Just thought that was kind of strange.
