[Resolved] Service Outage in Greater Boston

I've been without any VM service (voice and data) for about the last 36 hours now in the greater Boston area. Anyone else? Not sure if this is applicable but FYI:

Just an update for you:

Finally got a reply back from the Virgin Angels, and there's tower/network issue in my area. Estimated resolution time provided is Jul 24th... I suspect it might be the excessive prolonged heat that we've been experiencing here as the likely cause...

Service in other areas of PA besides Pittsburgh seem to be fairly bad currently according to this site:

Sprint Outage Map

The affected area for my vicinity also seems to have grown since this morning.

Finally got a reply back from the Virgin Angels, and there's tower/network issue in my area. Estimated resolution time provided is Jul 24th... I suspect it might be the excessive prolonged heat that we've been experiencing here as the likely cause...

Thanks for the info, according to the map, that's a little to close for comfort for me, this is the only phone we have, no landline.

It must be your well wishes! Well, the heatwave also finally broke today. Came home tonight, and found service is back. It was still down this afternoon when I left the house... This is the only extended outage that I've encountered in the 2+ years with VM.

That's great news, glad your back online. Yea, i can only remember 1 time being without service and that was only for 2 days.

Maybe that would explain the missed texts and calls from yesterday when I was in Rehoboth. Did the outage extend that far?

I'm in Massachusetts too, and have had no data all day. Calls stopped working too. Sucks, since I've been at work all day and my job requires me to use my phone every 5-10 minutes.

I don't really know... the outage in my area covered the area centered around Waltham (Route 128 & Mass Pike) and extended out for a few miles. I didn't see anything reported for the Rehoboth area--only in the Palmer area since yesterday. You might contact the Virgin Angels at SaveMe@TheVirginAngels.com and report your service outage. It took them unusually long to respond back to me this time, but I find they're more effective than calling CS.

@frantik508, I recommend the same for you to report your service outage too.
