So i called asking how sprints return policy works and they told me there would be a 25 PERCENT restocking fee...so thats 75 bucks to just return that phone. that is ridiculous!

No, check the fine print, should only be $35.

    http://www.sprint.com/landings/returns/

Now that is if you are a current customer that upgraded. If you are a new customer, you can return within 30-days with no fees:

another question, if i was to cancel my service would i be able to keep my phone, send in the mail in rebate get the 100 bucks off and then sell it on craigslist. Or would canceling my service cancel the rebate?

If you cancel within 30 days (sprint free guarantee) you would need to return the phone. If you want to cancel after 30 days then you can pay the ETF ($200) plus you would be responsible for the monthly charges and then you could keep the phone.

You can only get the MIR if you keep the phone in service for at least 30 days, so there's no way to return it and get the MIR.

However, I don't see any reason why you couldn't get to day 31, pay the $200 ETF, get the $100 MIR and then keep the phone without a plan. Of course, at this point you'd have paid $399 for it anyway ($199+$200 ETF) plus taxes and fees, plus a bad rep with Sprint, and maybe even lose that $100 MIR when they dick you around over it because they can. Might as well just pay the $449 and buy it outright up front.

One other point: When you don't return the phone and don't pay the ETF upon cancelling, Sprint locks the ESN (electronic serial number) on your phone and it cannot be activated on the Sprint network.

I have both music and photos on my Evo that I placed on there through the USB cord attached to my PC...

Did you make sure to select "use as drive" (I think that's the prompt) when you attached it to your PC?

RTFM. Or at the very least do a Google search. You plug in your phone to the computer, you select "Disk Drive" on your phone, and then you create a Music folder and drag everything you want to play in there.

Done. Oh, and if you want album art to show up when you select music through the music player then just put the album art of the album you're putting into the Music player inside the folder the music is in and it'll attach the art automatically.

you buddy.. have missed something very huge.

It is sooo easy to connect.. when prompted; select use as drive. now just drag and drop. it is like using a usb flash drive.

oh... do you know if you have anything on the SD card???
maybe you have that bad sdcard issue.

I think you have to reformat the card or do the update. Might want to ask your sprint service center on that.
