How did you lose it?
That sounds frivolous, but it's a serious question: if we don't know what has happened or changed there is no way we can answer the question. Reasons could range from using an incompatible handset, not paying you bills, a fault in the SIM, flashing the wrong RIL, missing or messed-up APN settings, a network fault or just having turned it off. Just knowing that it isn't working isn't enough for anyone to identify the problem.
