Folks - was trying to clear an irritating issue where my Desire kept putting itself into standby after a few seconds. I wanted to return to stock, and was using the RUU_HTC Desire Android 2.3 Upgrade (Gingerbread) to do this. It ran, but failed - with ERROR The phone screen then shows the usual - 4 exclamation marks. When unplugged, it shows: AlphaRev CM7 r2 Bravo PVT4 SHIP S-OFF HBOOT-6.93.1002 MICROP-851d TOUCH PANEL -SYNT0101 RADIO-5.09.05.30_2 Aug 10 2010, 17:52:18 RUU RADIO_V2 - OK SPLASH - OK RECOVERY - OK SPLASH2 - OK RADIO_CUST - OK BOOTLOADER - Bypassed USERDATA - OK SYSTEM - Fail-PU BOOT - OK Partition update fail! Update fail! And I can go no further. Can't boot into bootloader. Any ideas? And why is it still showing AlphaRev at the start - doesn't the RUU overwrite that?
