This seems to be a fairly popular topic, but I haven't found many responses and none have explained or solved my problem.

I backup my contacts to my Verizon using the preinstalled Backup Assistant. When I visit the website all of my contacts are in there. But when I factory reset my phone and try to restore the contacts it only gives me about 1/3 of them. What gives? Can anybody explain this and tell me how to get all of my contacts from My Verizon onto my Incredibe?

    Thanks!

I've never tried the verizon backup assistant, though my mother swears by it (non smart phone user).
Always just used the google contact sync which works flawlessly everytime

    Thanks for the move.

I don't even know about Google contact syncing. I will have to look into it.

But surely somebody can answer my question about the Verizon Backup Assistant! Please!

When you save a new contact, as long as you saved it as a 'google' contact they should of synced to your gmail account which you can check from any pc.

To check if its on: menu>settings>accounts&sync>google
