I upgraded my 1st gen nexus 7 to 4.3. I added a restricted user for my son. I was thinking to give him access to the games he can play. I logged in on his account and find that he has access to Google play. Doesn't this defeat the purpose of a restricted account? I cannot find in the settings where to disable play for his profile. An suggestions?

Well.. i don't have a nexus but check if your launcher has the hide apps feature and just hide the google play app. A bunch of launchers on the playstore can do this. Is not a hard fix either.

You may want try few things under the restricted profile - like installing a free app. It wouldn't surprise me if apps can't be installed, but some Play Store functionality may be necessary so that apps using the Play Store license check mechanism will continue to work properly.
