Help Retention period/size for emails

I am just wondering if there is a way to increase the number of emails that are stored in the default mail app. It seems like it only keeps track of the last 20 emails or so, which isnt much...If I want to go back and view an older email, i have to go to the mobile site. I tried looking around in the settings and couldnt find anything.
Any thoughts? Maybe there is a better email app that provides better functionality?

Nevermind, I found the option, it was just worded kind of weird. I set "download options" to 30 days and its now returning my mail from the last 30 days, sweet.
