Call your Verizon store and ask them if you can do that.

If it were me, I'd be walking, not running into the verizon store and saying here ya go, gimme the sammy. Not really, but it sounded cool.

Seriously, what's with the obsession with the Galaxy phones? I'd take the HTC Droid Incredible over a Samsung phone any day of the week.

As long as it's released on 9/9, I would say yes. If you actually ordered it on 8/9, then you probably didn't receive it until the 10th or 11th so that would just keep you inside 30 days.

You can surely do it. They'll charge you 35.00 for restocking, but there's a way to get some of that back. If you order online you can try the following discount codes. The second one worked for me.

    AAL50 - 50.00 discount

    Webch10 - 10 % discount.

The i/o test is what brought it down. If it was benchmarked with quadrant professional (breaks down what test scored how much) you can clearly see the gpu and cpu both are higher on the galaxy s phones. And there is a fix for the i/o on the vibrant and captivate afaik

Well, I don't buy or not buy a phone (or any electronic device) because of the result of a test. I buy things because of the overall experience which includes many intangible factors that cannot be measured by a simple test. :D
