I got my desire on Orange, anyway its overheating so have been told to send it back, only issue is I debranded it:thinking: I just put official FroYo on it, Would I get away with it? Its not going direct to Orange but the online retailer I got it off, could I just act stupid or something?

Well, this thread seems to indicate that Orange customers were able to return their handsets - and Orange simply rebranded it themselves.

Stock HTC Desire Rom's - Android @ MoDaCo

(Search for "orange" in the thread, it's a bit into the discussion)

Orange care have refused repairs and claims on debranded phones before.

IF it's deemed the ROM could be the cause of the overheating (as in making CPU run too much etc etc) then they may well dump the cost of a phone on your next bill.

Happened a number of times to Nokia owners on a owners forum I used to frequent.

And if you happen to install the original ROM back on it maybe......just maybe, your overheating problems will be solved .
