Returning my *2nd* Evo and switching to AT&T

These threads may never end as long as apple fan boys log in to post. I don't see how anyone in their right mind can compare sprints network to AT&T, they are by far rated and tested as the worst in the nation. Have fun at AT&T while they are making you pay overage charges on data that used to be unlimited because their can't maintain their network....

This is my second Evo. It is a known issue with the codec that streaming audio uses. 40kbps AAC+ or something like that. It just crackles and pops on certain songs and just plain sucks.

TP2 for $100.. has some tiny scratches.. lol

Odd, normally I listen to whatever is on my flash drive in my car, but since acquiring the Evo, I've done nothing but stream Twit, Pandora, and Last.fm with no issues that you describe even in the shitty 3G town I live in.

Heard the iPhone has new features so I bet u can't wait to turn your iPhone 4 into a mobile hot .... oh wait nevermind. Well I bet you can't wait to hook it to an HDMI .... oh wait dam did it again. Well at least flash is ... wow I give up. Good luck with whatever it does do.

Don't use wireless tethering, HDMI is a pipe dream that only works with what 2 apps in the phone? As for Flash.. I'll just have to watch my streaming porn a different way I guess .

Tried Pandora on HQ, Slacker, last.FM, Rhapsody, and Xiia..

Only one that works is Xiia because it's a 128kbs MP3 stream from shoutcast but I can't skip songs.

All the others use 40kbps AAC, so basically phone is useless for audio streaming.

Let me google that for you

This may be why Pandora has not sounded too great on my N1. BTW, I've had all 3 iPhone released so far and AT&T, I would not recommend that as your solution.

Worse case wait for fall, maybe Windows Mobile 7 will workout for you better?

What are you trying to stream? Using a cherryplayer where the stations are all 17kbps is of course going to be poor quality. I stream CBS stations constantly and ended up finding their mp3 versions at 64kbps and the quality is better than the aol radio app I used on the 3GS.

I'm coming from a 3GS where the back cracked by the charge connector and I've seen it on many iphones. I'm not worried too much about build quality of the EVO but I'm still debating going back to iPhone 4 just because of the apps I've purchased and sometimes I think the EVO is a *little* too big, although I love the screen so I'm torn.

You better call him and let him know...That is if he has coverage and can hear you.
