Not sure what to call it in the title.

I just came from a Tbolt. when conecting it to a computer you had the option "internet pass through" this allowed you to access internet via your phone using the computers net connection.

It doesnt appear this phone has the same option. Am I missing something?

I live rural so I have no cell service at my house. there are times I would like to access the market to install apps.

    Airrave coming, that'll solve it.

    No I dont.

    reason...

I use a device called Nettalk. Which has a lot of compatibilty issues with wireless routers. So to save myself the headache i stuck with my hardwired router.

Usually its a setting on the laptop to turn on the computer. Im not close to my computer to tell you how to set it up but basically my Sony Viao laptop turns into a wireless router.

Gotcha... Busted Bones was recommending internet connection sharing. This will work as long as your internet comes in on ethernet and you have an unused wifi adapter in your PC. Search for "internet connection sharing" to find instructions on how you set it up... it differs between XP, Vista, win 7.

If not, the only other option I can think of is to see if there's some app in the android market that would set this up for you... but I'm not sure what search terms you'd use to find it.

You do realize that almost all wireless routers also have hardwired ports too, right? Sounds to me like getting a wired&wireless router that would work with nettalk is the best option and by far the most convenient (do you really want to be tethered to the PC a lot?).

Seriously, I can't imagine why you couldn't find a router that would work with nettalk and if worse comes to worst you can always put the nettalk in the router's DMZ, that's sure to work.
