Let's pretend that I don't know much about smart phones... would I be correct in assuming the thread you linked me to pretty much says it doesn't have multi touch?

(I already tried the multi touch tester and it didn't work)

That's correct, it looks like it's disabled by default.

So it comes with it, but it's disabled...the world is out to get me?

Is there anyway to get it on there? and if so how much hassle is it?

    Just google multitouch hack!
    You'll get many meaningful results.

    1 of the results was,
    Edit with root explorer,
    File: /system/etc/touchpad/21 and 22
    directorys touchpad.cfg file
Code: line 28 change NUMTOUCH=2 to
    This enables 10 point multitouch!!!
