This may be a duplicate thread as I have seen many with this issue. So on most Samsung devices people are having issues with custom contact ringtones not working. When setting a custom ring tone to the default it works but not if you set it to a contact. Today I figured out that it has something to do with the way the sd card is set up on some rooted devices for instance on mine I have a 32g sd card partitioned into 2 sections one fat32 and the other ext4 with apps2sd by Vicky using a mount script and linking all user apps the the sd. This setup has been great till I realized that my ringtones won't work. If I format the sd card using the stock method in the phone ring tone work correctly but if I partition it they do not . Does any one know a possible reason for this and any ideas on how I could fix this issue?
