ringtone downloads

I have been trying to save ringtones to my Vibrant but cannot master it. I download from Funtonia via text, download the ringtone, I click on the file, it plays, I select set as, click on phone ringtone. Sometimes it will save it to the phone ringtones but by the next day it is gone. I can assign it as an individual ringtone, it will attach it to the contact but in a few hours it is gone.

I have downloaded ringdroid but, being the extreme novice that I am, cannot figure out how to work it. Help-Kim
