ringtone help

    i downloaded ringtones from a couple of apps (myxer, free ringtones) they downloaded into my files but i cant move them to ringtones. even the guy at at&t couldnt help referred me here

    What do you mean you "cant move them"? does it give you an error? How are you trying to move them? Where are they now? Where are you trying to move them to?

    they r under an app called 'my files' that came on my phone. when i download the ringtones it goes in there instead of my ringtones. it only gives me the option to move them to a different folder instead of to ringtones to be able to set it.

    You need to put them on the sd card in Media/Audio/Notifications, or Media/Audio/Ringtones. So you create a folder called Media on the sd card, then inside that create one called audio, then inside that, create one called ringtones and another called notifications. You should be able to do this with the My Files, if not you can get Astro from the market, or connect the phone to a computer via usb and do it from windows.

    i just change my to vlc now they all show up
