I was wondering if there would be any way I could access the downloaded file without using the Movies app. I know this is DRM protected but I'm paying the $20+ to keep these movies, but if I just want to use another video player or to transfer the movie onto my computer, what do I do?

    Welcome to our AndroidForums :).

Yeah, as you indicated, they are indeed DRM-protected and as a result, we can't and won't be discussing methods to rip said content, so I'm going to close this thread.

(I'm sure that accessing that content solely via the Play Movies app is part of the terms of service, etc.)

    Thanks.

(feel free to PM me if questions)

Well Google Play Movies is accessible as a Chrome app. You can watch the movie you buy on a PC.
