If any of you had a childhood, you loved watching The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

And while the star of the show was Will Smith, you can't overlook the amazing role of James Avery as Philip Banks, probably my favorite character.

Uncle Phil passed away yesterday due to complications arising from heart surgery.

He wasn't my favorite character on the show, and the show itself wasn't one of my favorites, but it's sad to hear of the passing of anyone so young. (Yes, 65 is young these days.)

I used to watch The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air every Monday night on NBC. And it actually was one of my favorite shows back in the day. It's sad to see Uncle Phil go. Rest in peace.
